| Recently,
we came in contact with a manager who had just taken over responsibilities
for the network operations at his company. This had been added to
the existing groups that already reported to him and it was imperative
to hit the ground running.
He quickly discovered that the group was short
staffed, operating a complex environment and had lacked true leadership
for sometime. The manager quickly decided that he needed to hire
a technical team leader who could help to support the network, but
also relieve some of his added responsibilities. With time being
a major factor, and given the very specific requirements, he chose
to utilize Computer Methods’ Contract-to-Hire services.
CMC responded immediately by collecting all
available information about this position, the network department
and the organization as a whole. This was accomplished through interviews
with the manager and other employees as well our own research efforts.
After quickly developing and executing our recruiting plan, we presented
the manager with the resumes of three highly qualified candidates.
Each of these individuals were interviewed and a contract was quickly
offered to the leading candidate.
The determined contract period provide adequate time for our candidate
to prove that he had the technical skills and the personality fit
for this organization. At the completion of the contract period,
the client offered him a permanent position and was not charged
any conversion fee by Computer Methods.
